The record comes first
Every claim we make — sanitized, graded, counted, released — is backed by a named record written at a controlled station, in the same language our auditors see. Records lock against edits on QC-supervisor release.See: /quality
Sanitization first. Always.
No device moves to refurbishment, resale, or recycling until its media is sanitized to NIST 800-88 and the wipe log is written. The wipe gate is a hard stop: no pass without a per-serial wipe log and completed verification.See: /services/data-destruction
Custody transfers on paper
Custody legally transfers on paper, not on a handshake — sealed, manifested transport, a BOL at loading, and reconciliation against your manifest within 48 hours of intake. Discrepancies are flagged immediately, not discovered at settlement.See: /chain-of-custody

Most refurbishers only resell. Most ITAD vendors only dispose. VIG does both from one R2v3-certified Dallas facility, under one chain of custody, with one audit trail — no third-party warehousing, no re-brokering.See: /services/refurbishment
