Refurbish. Redeploy. Recover.
Send VIG your used laptops, desktops, monitors, and mobile. We data-sanitize to NIST 800-88, repair, cosmetically restore, grade, and reimage every device — then return it to your fleet ready to redeploy, or remarket it for value recovery. R2v3 #274644 · Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher.

Sanitize. Repair. Grade. Reimage.
Refurbishment runs through the same certified intake, data destruction, and chain-of-custody workflow as VIG's full ITAD program — there is no separate, lighter-touch track for refurb assets.

Two outcomes. One certified process.
Path · where it goes · what you receiveFive gates between your dock and the certificate.
Custody legally transfers on paper, not on a handshake. Every hand-off below writes a named document to the asset record — the same record your final certificate is built from.
Pickup
BOL ISSUEDSealed, manifested transport on your schedule.
Supervised loading, custody transferring at your dock — on paper. Sealed, tracked freight to Dallas; no third-party warehousing.
Receiving
INTAKE SCANReconciled against your manifest within 48 hours.
Every pallet scanned at 2630 Andjon Drive. Count, model, or condition discrepancies are flagged immediately — not discovered at settlement.
Serialization
ASSET RECORDEvery asset tagged, photographed, and recorded.
One record per serial — make, model, photographs. Every subsequent action is written to that one record.
Sanitization
WIPE LOGNIST 800-88 destruction, verified per drive.
Method, result, date, and technician logged per drive. The wipe checkpoint is a hard gate: no pass without a per-serial wipe log and completed verification.
Disposition
FINAL CERTResale, redeploy, or certified recycling.
Serialized Certificate of Destruction plus a per-device disposition report — one line per serial, audit-ready.
STN 04 · SANITIZATION · WIPE LOGSanitized before anything else.
Every storage-bearing device is sanitized to NIST 800-88 before any technician opens it for repair or cosmetic work — and before any device enters the remarketing channel. A serialized Certificate of Destruction is issued per device. This step is never skipped, on either outcome path.

Refurbishment FAQ.
The answers your IT, compliance, and procurement reviewers ask first — the same claims your paperwork will carry.
What happens to my data before refurbishment?
Every storage-bearing device is sanitized to NIST 800-88 before any repair, cosmetic, or remarketing work begins — the same process VIG applies to all ITAD engagements. You receive a serialized Certificate of Destruction for each device, regardless of whether it is returned to you or remarketed.
What is the difference between Return and Remarket?
Return for redeployment: your devices come back to you sanitized, repaired, graded, and reimaged, ready to redeploy. Remarket for value recovery: VIG lists your devices through its B2B wholesale and auction channels and settles the net proceeds to you by wire. Both include the same Certificates of Destruction and graded manifest. Not sure which fits? Select "assess and advise" on the form and we'll walk through both.
What devices do you accept?
Laptops, desktops and workstations, monitors (LCD/LED; CRTs excluded), and mobile devices and tablets — any major brand. Cosmetically damaged units are fine, liquid damage is accepted for assessment, and board-level damage is assessed case by case. List your device types in the form and we'll confirm acceptance.
Will reimaged Windows devices be properly licensed?
Yes. As a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, VIG applies genuine OEM Windows licenses to qualifying refurbished devices — no gray-market keys and no licensing liability for your organization. Licensing documentation is included with each reimaged device.
How is my hardware graded?
Each device is assigned a condition grade — A (excellent), B (good), C (fair), or For-Parts — against VIG's documented grading rubric, after physical inspection and functional testing. The grade is recorded per serial number on a graded manifest you receive, and it determines the redeployment or remarketing outcome.
Do I need an account, and what does it cost?
No account is required to submit a request. Pricing is scoped per engagement after we review your devices — submit a request and our team replies within one business day with a scope assessment and next steps. There is no commitment at this stage.
